On Thursday we held the FLBC AGM on the National Trust Coleshill Estate.
With previous minutes covered we looked back on this years meetings.
We remembered Breakfast and boat rides at The Trout Inn, Car treasure hunt at Lechlade Marina, and the Christmas Display Competition at Wrag Barn. We had Cider tasting at Cotswold Cider and Digital Innovation at The Barn Theatre - we had a lively evening with Award Winners at Cotswold Woollen Weavers, all in all we had a busy year. Â We also laid on a First Aid course for small businesses that was fully subscribed and The 15th FLBC Awards at Wrag Barn which was also SOLD out!
We also thanked Helen Webb, our former Chair and Simon Hersom and Verity Manners, former Steering Group Volunteers for their contributions over the past 12 months.
With accounts signed off we confirmed subscription details for 2022 and moved to Officer elections.
Your new Chair is Shirley Wheeler of Cotswold Boat Hire supported by Vice Chair Ian Lindsay of Lechlade Marina.
Nick Bent of Bent Consulting was appointed Treasurer.
We are thrilled the whole of the Steering Group opted to be re-elected too, so your volunteer line up is completed with Camilla George of DentArtwork, Miriam Broad Weisinger of TA Reed, Victoria Davies of Davies Financial Planning and Richard Martin of Cotswold Woollen Weavers.
We went on to make some changes to the Constitution of the Club which was updated and the Steering Group will be working on a few revisions agreed.
Our evening was completed by a very interesting presentation form the National Trust from Christian Walker, General Manager of the National Trust West Oxford Region.
He had lots of news for us about National Trust initiatives in our local area in and around Fairford, Lechlade and Highworth and Buscot and Coleshill, we were all geared up for walking, boating, looking at new woodland and thinking about regenerative farming post the presentation!
