AGM
Our AGM and Awards evening took place on 25th April at The Trout Inn. At the AGM Nick Bent and Ian Lindsay were re-elected as Co-Chairmen and Nick Bent as treasurer. Also re-appointed for the Steering Group were Camilla George, Richard Martin and Miriam Weisinger. There are some vacancies on the Steering Group, please get in touch if you would like to help or would just like to know a little more.
AWARDS
The winner of Business Student of the Year (in connection with Farmors school) was Harriet Elliott whose plan was for ‘reGarb’ a second hand clothing business aimed at younger customers (13 to 25) with the premises acting as a community hub. Second was George Whittingham and third Oliver Rowlands.
The Howard Dowler Community Service Award went to Lechlade Bloomers who do a fantastic job planting and looking after the many flower tubs in the town on a voluntary basis.
The Bob Warren Hospitality Award which is voted for by our members was won by Penny Warren and her team at The Trout who do such a fantastic job looking after their customers and serving excellent food and drink.
We are really grateful to McGills Chartered Accountants who sponsored the evening, they are tremendous supporters of the Business Club.
