Our June meeting was all boats, tea, coffee, cakes and business!
After several members took boats or joined boat trips at Cotswold Boat Hire, we met up at Buscot Tea Room.
There, whilst we sampled the cakes on offer, we enjoyed the beautiful gardens manicured by Nick McKinstry. We were so lucky – despite the threat of rain – it held off until we were departing. Dani McKinstry, proprietor of the Award winning Tea Room explained the background to their business; it was really interesting.
Not always easy, lots of the members agreed setting up a business and developing it and having it grow to meet current needs of both customers and the owners is a juggling act. Lots of catching up, questions and exchanging ideas followed; a lovely networking event.
