Book your free Experience Maker Workshop – be a part of ‘Help to Thrive’

“Dear Cotswold business

We recently held a virtual meeting to explain what our ‘Help to Thrive’ project running this autumn involves and it was great to see so many of you express an interest. Listen to a recording of the meetingor see more information on our website. We have spoken to a range of operators there is demand for meeting the makers of local food & drink produce, engaging with local farmers or visiting pubs or shops to meet owners as well as outdoor activities.

We feel your business could benefit from these new audiences so invite you to get fully involved and book to attend one of our in person ‘Experience Maker’ workshops being held in separate locations across the region. The first event is being held in Cirencester on 9 October.

The workshops will be led by Chris Brant, who is the founder of Unmissable England and a leading expert in experiential tourism, an increasingly strong trend in both domestic and inbound markets. Chris has helped many businesses create new memorable travel experiences over recent years.

This workshop dives straight into the world of experiential tourism; businesses will gain an understanding of what it entails and explore the essential ingredients required to develop a brand-new and captivating experience.

The best visitor experiences are the ones that guests leave with fond memories. The key to creating memories is telling the unique story. During two practical activities, with support from facilitators, participants will begin to identify local stories which are unique and special enabling new experiences to be developed.
We will also look at the importance of being bookable and new routes to market

In person workshops will be held on:

Wednesday 9 October  – Cirencester Growth Hub
Thursday 15 October  – Cotswold House Hotel, Spa & Golf
Thursday 24 October – Hatherley Manor Hotel

Each workshop will have a 9:30am registration, for a 10am start, and run until 2pm, with networking opportunities over lunch. Spaces will be limited to 40 businesses for each workshop.

At the end of the course, attendees can complete a form to access additional training opportunities and 1 to 1 support*.

From November there will be further courses to help businesses progress on specific elements, such as how to market to travel trade operators, how to attract visitors on foot & bike, sustainable tourism and digital transformation.

Who is this training suitable for?
Anyone in any way involved in the visitor economy! Whether you run a pub, shop or  have an idea of how you can work with others in your local high street or area.”
