Marina moorings for cruisers, narrow boats and wide beams in Lechlade on the River Thames. Slipway for launching any vessel up to 35ft long
Lechlade Marina is located at the head of the navigable River Thames, in the Cotswold town of Lechlade. It is a tranquil, tree lined, 100 berth marina, accommodating cruisers, narrow boats, wide beams and house boats in idyllic surroundings, giving you a better outlook on life.
Set across 5 acres, the marina is unique in its design, having a series of channels of water running off a central waterway with two entrances/exits direct onto the river Thames. The channels provide moorings against the river bank, some of which have vehicular access, those on the peninsula and island have pedestrian access. There are water points and electric hook-ups for a range of mooring berth sizes. The marina has car parking and on shore boat storage, a slipway for trail boat and cruiser launching and now has a newly refurbished facilities building offering showers, loos and elsan disposal facilities for moorers.
Ian is using his 25 years of experience as a chartered surveyor, managing the properties, gardens, environment and diversification projects of private rural estates, to restore Lechlade Marina from its previously unloved state to a marina which offers a great place to moor a boat. Jules is using her 25 years of experience as a bookkeeper and office manager to ensure customers get great service from a well-run business.
Lechlade Marina offers the additional benefits of its location, just 3 minutes’ walk into the lovely Cotswold town of Lechlade where there is a range of pubs, cafés and shops including a mini-market, bank and post office, making this the ideal place to site a boat for weekend or permanent use. Diesel, petrol, coal and gas can be bought in Lechlade and loo pump out is available at St John’s lock as the marina doesn’t currently offer these facilities.
Set in an area of outstanding natural beauty, the Thames Trail is easily accessed on the opposite bank. Lechlade Marina is within easy access of Swindon, Cirencester, Cheltenham, Burford and Oxford.
