Local Club member, McGills Chartered Accountants based in Cirencester and Malmesbury spread their reach with their latest Community Activity Fund project. The fund is used to support worthwhile local causes.
The funds will contribute towards Seagry Primary School’s £80,000 fundraising target as it looks to replace the existing tarmac with an all-purpose surface, replace ageing play equipment and install an outdoor forest school classroom.
Deborah Morton from McGills Chartered Accountants visited the school to present a cheque.
She said: “Everyone knows how important outdoor play is to children’s wellbeing and development so we jumped at the chance to donate to the school’s fundraising efforts.
“Our donation will ultimately form part of a vital investment in the future of generations of children in our community.”
Christina Brugger, Head of School, added: “It was great to welcome Deborah and to show her more about our ambitious plans for our outdoor spaces.
“We are grateful to McGills Chartered Accountants for recognising the importance of outdoor play with this generous donation.”
Since launching its Community Activity Fund, McGills Chartered Accountants has donated thousands of pounds to various local causes, including a community allotment, Christmas lunches for pensioners and school gardens.
